Paradise Mountain
Minsitries is situated on 25 acres one half mile
from Toccoa Falls College and one half mile from
the city of Toccoa, in the foothills of
northeast Georgia. Two large houses can
each accommodate 16 college age young adults.
No less than 10 other colleges and universites
are within commuting distance of Paradise
Mountain Ministries.

The first
house was an old
farmhouse that was built back at the turn of
the 20th century. It is known
locally as the "Old Wilkinson Place."
In addition to having been a private
home, it was also used as a dormitory for factory workers during
World War II. |
 |
By a series of
miracles, Carolyn Eckman, the Founder/Director
of Paradise Mountain Ministries, acquired the
house and 25 acres of property in 1990.
 |
A builder from New York
and later son-in-law, David Knickerbocker, oversaw the
renovation of the house, which took three years and many
willing volunteers to complete. It can now house
16 young people. Two apartments have
been added on to make it the structure it is today. |
