"Since I
only get to go home once a year, Paradise helps me not to
feel like home is so far away!"

The
current residents of Paradise Mountain
Ministries represent sixteen
different countries and four continents.
Most of our residents have spent the
majority of their lives overseas, so the
United States does not feel like home to
them. They often deal with the
same cultural issues that internationals
face when coming to the States.
Paradise Mountain strives to bridge that
gap. |

Residents are
required to work seven hours a week at PMM in
exchange for their room and board. Chores
may include dinner clean-up, mopping floors,
putting food away from the "food-run," or
generally anything that involves the maintenance
of the houses and surrounding property.

|
On most evenings a "family
meal" is served. Residents take the time to unwind
together and discuss the events of their day while
enjoying a home-cooked meal prepared by the resident
manager of the home (more affectionately referred to as
the "house mom.") |
